Terms of service

These terms apply to schools and school staff who use Ovation at app.ovation.school. By signing in, you agree to them on your own behalf and, if you set up a school, on the school's behalf.
Using Ovation
- Ovation is for school staff. Students do not have accounts.
- Sign in with the Google account your school gave you, and keep it secure.
- Write recognitions you would be comfortable with the student and their family reading. Do not enter information about students beyond what Ovation asks for.
- School admins are responsible for who they invite and can remove staff or nominations at any time.
Your school's data
Your school owns the information it puts into Ovation. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. A school can export its data and have it deleted at any time.
Trial, price and cancelling
Every school starts with a free trial; no payment details are needed to start. After the trial, Ovation is billed per school, per year, at the price on our website when you subscribe. Renewal is never automatic. A school can cancel at any time and receives a prorated refund of the unused term.
What we provide
We work hard to keep Ovation available, secure and working well, and we offer support by email. Like any online service, it may occasionally be unavailable, and it is provided without warranties beyond those the law requires. Our liability to a school is limited to the amount the school paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Acceptable use
Do not use Ovation to harass anyone, to publish anything about a student outside your school community without the school's permission, or to try to access another school's data. We may suspend access that puts students, schools or the service at risk.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell school admins before the change takes effect.
